Russian chronometer, but this is not the ordinary type. This was a special made for the big Russian Bombers and has the normal gimble but also extra springing to compensate  for the vibration and electronic link up to the other instruments in the plane.  It also has a very good oak case.  Only a small number of this type made.

Hughes of London, circa 1880, mahogany box with brass stringing and special auxiliary compensation on the balance, all in good condition.
